JEE scam: Kakoli Buzarbaruah remanded to 7-day judicial custody

Guwahati: JEE exam scam accused Kakoli Buzarbaruah was remanded to 7-day judicial custody on Thursday. She was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court after 5 days of police custody.

She arrived in the court with her nine month old baby. Buzarbaruah, who is the councilor of Global Edu Light coaching institute, was arrested on October 30 from Rupnagar in Guwahati in connection with the case.

Earlier, the mastermind of the scam, Bhargav Deka, who is the owner of the coaching institute, was sent to 7-day policy custody.
