JSF conducted webinar on the role of women to control population explosion

GUWAHATI: The 'Janasankhya Samadhan Foundation Uttar Purba Khetra' conducted a webinar on 'Role of Women in the Society to Control Population Explosion in Assam' on July 10. One of the organizers, Ranjan Medhi introduced all the delegates on behalf of the Kamrup Metropolitan District Committee. The said webinar was inaugurated by Dr Ankita Dutta, prominent researcher on Population Studies, New Delhi. In her inaugural speech, she narrated how women are discharging a key role in managing the society. Further, Monika Das, women coordinator and moderator of the webinar, stated that we should work in grassroots level to make the women aware that they have equal rights to take necessary decision on having children.
