Kamrup (M) DC seeks articles on Mahabir Lachit Borphukan

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (M) administration has urged students and general citizens of the district to write about Mahabir Lachit Borphukan on the occasion of the 400th birth anniversary of the legendary general of Assam.

The administration has recommended that the text of the articles be between 100 and 1000 words. The text must be clearly handwritten or typed on 'A-4' paper. Interested students or citizens can send soft copies of the articles by e-mail to 'dc-kamrup@nic.in' or submit them directly to the Nazarat branch of the Deputy Commissioner's office here by August 20. The best books will be selected for the State level and the best writers will be honoured at the 400-year birth anniversary celebrations of Mahabir Lachit Borphukan. In addition, selected articles will be uploaded on the administration's website and Facebook page.
