Kamrup (M) DTO office collects over Rs 5.28 crore in one day

GUWAHATI: While collecting revenue to the tune of Rs 42,16,11,703 in March this year, the office of the DTO, Kamrup (M) ended the last day of the month on Friday on a promising note by collecting a record single-day revenue of Rs. 5,28,89,069 crore. It may be mentioned that the office of the DTO, Kamrup (M) was open till midnight yesterday. The DTO's office collected a total revenue of Rs 264,94,30,609 during the 2021-2022 fiscal year. The total revenue collection in 2020-2021 was Rs 205,14,99,678.

The Transport Department launched a series of drives to collect arrear motor vehicle tax so far this year - 'Operation Sarkhar' in January, 'Operation All-Out' in February and 'Operation All Clear' in March'.
