Kamrup (Metro) DC Biswajit Pegu holds meeting with Incident Response Team

GUWAHATI: In view of the threat arising due to the spread of COVID-19, Kamrup (Metro) DC Biswajit Pegu held a meeting with the District Level Incident Response Team (IRT), here on Friday.

The DC held discussions with the IRT and high-level officers of Kamrup (M), regarding the government guidelines issued to contain the dreaded virus.

DC Pegu discussed the responses and plan of action of the IRT and other concerned departments. He further talked about the responsibilities of the District Health Department and other departments who are managing the Sarusajai Quarantine Camp. He took stock of the food, water and cleanliness facilities at the camp and also stated that a control room will be set up for better management. The Circle Level IRT informed the DC that they are actively working in the region and Guwahati Joint Commissioner Debaraj Upadhayay briefed him about the current activities under the Commissionerate.

Kamrup (M) ADC Chinmoy Nath, Kamrup (M) Development Commissioner Atul Kumar Sarma and ADC Bipul Kumar Das were present during the meeting.
