Kamrup Metro District Administration conducted eviction drives

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro District Administration on Tuesday conducted eviction drives in several areas near the national highway. District administration officials evicted shops and houses at Khanamukh, Lankeswar, Satmile, and Jalukbari.

The drive was conducted under the order of the Gauhati High Court (HC) that directed the administration to ask all the individuals, families, and businesses, which have encroached the government and semi-government properties to vacate within 30 days of time. The order was issued in November.
