Kamrup Metro District Magistrate orders to tightened security during Holi

GUWAHATI: In view of ensuing the festival of colors Holi, the district magistrate has ordered the following officers to supervise and monitor the entire department and coordinate with the respective departments. ACS, Assistant Commissioner, Kamrup Metro Bistirna Barua will remain in the headquarters as a striking magistrate. ACS, Additional Magistrate, Kamrup Metro Bipul Kumar Das will be the nodal officer of the entire program.

A large number of mass is expected to gather in the city to celebrate the festival on March 9 and 10. All the respective departments viz all DCPs of Guwahati including DCP (Traffic), GMC, IWT, PHED, NDRF, SDRF, Superintendant of River Police, Assam, Pandu, are expected to maintain order for peaceful celebration of the festival.
