GUWAHATI: Keerthi Jalli, IAS, on Wednesday took over charges as Deputy Commissioner of the Kamrup district.
An official communiqué stated that a ceremony was held at the Conference Hall of the Integrated DC's office, Kamrup where the new Deputy Commissioner was given a warm welcome. ln the same function, outgoing Deputy Commissioner Kailash Karthik N was also felicitated and given a ceremonial farewell.
Participating in the programme, Cabinet Minister and Guardian Minister of the Kamrup district, Chandra Mohan Patowary praised the ability, leadership quantity and innovative ideas of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Kailash Karthik N. He also hoped that under the proactive leadership of new DC Keerthi Jalli, Kamrup district's development journey would find a new momentum.
The meeting was also attended by Superintendent of Police, Kamrup, District Development Commissioner, Kamrup, Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, all Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Circle Officers, senior officials and employees of various departments of the district.
Later, Minister Patowary, Dr Om Prakash, Mission Director, Axom Sarba Siksha Mission, Kailash Karthik N and Keerthi Jalli took part in a plantation programme at the Integrated DC's office campus under Chief Minister's Institutional Plantation Programme (CMIPP).
