LGBI Airport handled nearly 5 lakh passengers in June 2023

GUWAHATI: The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport has seen a massive increase in the footfall of passengers in recent times and cloaked nearly 5 lakh in the month of June. This number represents a nearly 15% growth in passenger volume compared to June 2022. Nearly 2,95,000 are departure passengers, while the remaining are said to be arrival ones.

The top domestic destinations served are Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Nearly 4000 fight movements are handled in the month of June. The largest one-day passenger footfall was recorded at 17513, and the highest air traffic movement in a day was 129 in the month of June. .
