Male transgender held for rape of minor boy by Bharalumukh Police

GUWAHATI: Bharalumukh Police, on Wednesday, arrested a male transgender for alleged sexual assault on a 14-year-old boy at Lachit Ghat, Machkhowa, on Tuesday night.

The arrested accused person has been identified as Nur Ahmed alias Niki Ahmed (22). He is son of Md. Sahidul Ahmed of Sijubari near Burha Masjid under Hatigaon Police Station in Kamrup (M) District.

The police action has been initiated after the registration of a case (782/2021 u/s 342 IPC R/W Sec. 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act-2012) in Bharalumukh Police Station.
