GUWAHATI: Agriculture and Veterinary Minister Atul Bora handed over appointment letters to 221 field assistants of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department during a programme held at the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara on Friday.

Addressing the new joinees, the Minister said that the appointments will fill the gaps in the department and will play an important role for its development.

He appealed to the newly-appointed field assistants to work with a motive to serve the interests of the State.

The programme was also attended by ALPCO Chairman Manoj Saikia, Veterinary Department Commissioner and Secretary Shyam Jagannathan, Secretary Robinson Moshahary, Director Ashok Barman, among others.
