Minor sexually assaulted, one arrested by Dispur police

GUWAHATI: Dispur police arrested Mohammad Betan Ali (46) on the allegation of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl in Juripar area at Panjabari. According to police, the incident happened a week before, but the family lodged the complaint on Sunday. The accused took advantage of the opportunity when nobody was at home. They used to stay as tenants nearby.

Mohammed Betan Ali is a mason by profession. Dispur police arrested the accused on Sunday night.

According to police, a case number 393/23 u/s 376(3) IPC, was registered, and further action will be taken.
