Miscreants looted Rs 5 lakh at Jatia in Kahilipara

GUWAHATI: Miscreants looted Rs 5 lakh from a person at Jatia in Kahilipara on Thursday. According to police, the person identified as Paresh Sarania withdrew the amount from his account in the Jatia branch of SBI (State Bank of India). He also filed an FIR in the Bhagadattapur OP (Out Post) under Dispur PS (Police Station).

After collecting the money, Sarania proceeded towards his four-wheeler parked a few distances away from the bank. As he boarded the car, a youth approached him and said, "There is some cash behind your vehicle."

Immediately, Sarania proceeded towards that location. In the meantime, the youth picked up the bag containing the withdrawn cash. He fled the scene in a bike that was already ready for him a few yards away from the scene.
