Guwahati: A woman and her daughter were discovered dead inside a room in their home in the Naginijan tea estate in Assam's Mariani district in a shocking event.
According to reports, the room where the mother-daughter combo perished was found in a shambles.
According to police, post-mortem reports will establish, if the death was caused by suicide or murder.
Sunita Ekka and her three-year-old daughter were identified as the victims, who died by suicide on Saturday night.
The couple died hanging from the ceiling, according to the family.
After getting information about the same, Police rushed to the spot and took the victims away for autopsies.
