GUWAHATI: A two-day national conference on Mathematics and its Applications II, 2023 (NCMA-2023), organized by the Department of Mathematics at Cotton University, successfully concluded on November 8.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. Ramesh Chandra Deka, Vice Chancellor, Cotton University. Prof. Bhaba Kumar Sarma of the Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, was the chief guest of the inaugural session. Prof. Dipak Sarma, President of NCMA-II, welcomed the august gathering in the inaugural ceremony. Prof. Debabrata Datta, a retired eminent scientist at the Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, delivered the keynote lecture. There were eight invited lectures delivered at the conference. Around 85 participants attended the conference, and 68 of them presented their research papers in the technical sessions.

The valedictory session on the concluding day of the conference was attended by Prof. Ganesh Chandra Wary, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Cotton University; Prof. Mahadev Patgiri, Dean, Research and Development, Cotton University; Prof. Sudipta Nandy, Academic Registrar (I/c), Cotton University; Dr. Sanjay Kumar Dutta, Deputy Director, Pre-Examination Training Centre, Gauhati University; and Prof. Rita Chowdhury, Department of Mathematics, The Royal Global University, stated a press release.
