NDRF distributes food packets, masks to more than 650 needy passengers in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The rescuers of 1st Battalion NDRF Guwahati under supervision of Commandant Randhir Singh Gill distributed food packets, biscuit packets and masks to more than 650 needy passengers at Machkhowa Bus Stand, Paltan Bazar Bus Stand and ISBT (Inter State Bus Terminus), in Guwahati on Tuesday. The NDRF medical team also carried out thermal screening of passengers. The personnel also distributed food to 400 poor people at village-Katamura and Nizsundary Gupa under Changsari District. NDRF Rescuers equipped with proper Personal Protective Equipments and Vehicle mounted High pressure pumps also sanitized 76 Buses. The rescuers distributed food to these people in collaboration of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Amrit Bhog Bhandara Guwahati. During the programme NDRF rescuers maintained proper social distancing and emphasized on the need of hand washing and usage of sanitizer to tackle the spread of COVID-19.
