GUWAHATI: The North East Girl Students' Association (NEGSA) completed 25 years today.
Addressing the media here today, NEGSA president Munmi Dutta said, "In the past 25 years, NEGSA did a slew of activities to empower girls and women in the region. In this era, girls and women have to know how to defend themselves or else they will continue to face problems. Women and girls facing security problems are common everywhere in the country. NEGSA has been imparting training to girls on Judu in Guwahati, and many other places in the Northeast as it is through martial arts girls and women can defend themselves."
She said, "At the end of January 2023, the NEGSA will hold the silver jubilee celebrations in Guwahati with a two-day programme."
