GUWAHATI: As part of its capacity building, advocacy and outreach in rural areas of the North-East, the North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited (NERAMAC) conducted a series of training programmes for rural farmers recently, stated a press release.
The training programmes were sponsored by the Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, which is a Government of India autonomous organization under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare. The entire training programme was done in four locations adhering to strict COVID-19 protocol.
A total of 160 farmers, including 50 women farmers, were trained during this training programme which covered Dimoria Block and Rani Block of Kamrup (M) district, Mayong Block of Morigaon district and Sipajhar Block of Darrang district.
