New scheme Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan to be launched

 GUWAHATI: A new scheme, Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan, will be launched in the state soon. In this connection, a video conference was held by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma with the Chief Secretary and senior officials from the conference hall of Assam House here on Wednesday, where the details of the scheme on the anvil were discussed threadbare to pave the way for its finalization.

The Chief Minister later disclosed to mediapersons that the new scheme would provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to two lakh youth, making them self-independent. Sarma also said that the registration process for the new scheme would begin on September 23-24.

MP Pabitra Margherita, Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Political, Dr. Ravi Kota, and Resident Commissioner, M.S. Manivannan, attended the meeting, stated a press release.
