North East Book Fair gears up for its 21st edition at Guwahati Press Club

GUWAHATI: The North East Book Fair to be held at Assam Engineering Institute playground from November 1 to 12 is gearing up for its 21st edition. The stall allocation lottery for the book fair was held at Guwahati Press Club on Wednesday amidst the presence of representatives of different publication houses.

General Secretary of All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers' Association, Diraj Goswami said that the lottery session is held with the aim to conduct the book fair in a neat and clean manner. Goswami added said that the book fair will have the gracious presence of many eminent personalities including Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu. A total of 55 stalls will participate from outside Assam, including Bangaldesh, Tripura and many other well known publications. Besides other cultural programmes a special talk programme with Rima Das and Zubeen Garg will also be held. The fair will also have the presence of noted writers and famous writer Durjoy Dutta.
