North-East Liver Foundation Society confers Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr Anin Arora

GUWAHATI: The North-East Liver Foundation Society organised North East Medicon 2023 on Sunday in Khanapara. The event saw the participation of about 200 experienced physicians from across the country.

Professor Dr Anil Arora, Specialist Doctor of Sir Gangaram Hospital, Delhi was conferred the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from North-East Liver Foundation Society by Dr Amitabh Sharma, Founding President of the Society for distinguished contribution to Medical Sciences. In the meeting, Ten doctors of Assam, a journalist and distinguished persons of various fields were felicitated.

This event was attended by Krishna Boruah, Director of Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission; Swapnali Mahanta, Ex Vice-President of Assam Police Wives Welfare Association and Dr Sangeeta Tripathi, Director of Nerim Group of Institution. Navadeep Kalita, Vice-chairman of Assam Industrial Development Corporation Limited; Dr Bhabadev Goswami, Specialist Doctor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department of Dispur Hospital and Dr Rupam Das of Down Town Hospital also attended the event.

A documentary showing the working of the North-East Liver Foundation Society was also screened. In the afternoon, an awareness meeting on diabetic disease was organised.
