GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has decided to resume the train service connectivity with Dangiri, the eastern-most station of Indian Railways, from April 12, stated a press release.

The train service of Tinsukia-Dangiri DEMU Special was earlier suspended due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, as the situation almost came under control nationwide, almost all train services are being resumed day by day. Therefore, for the ease of transportation of the commuters from the Makum-Dangiri region, train services will be resumed with effect from next week. Train No. 07904 (Tinsukia-Dangiri DEMU Special) will depart from Tinsukia railway station at 4:30 am and will operate six days a week (except Sunday) from April 12. The special train will reach its destination at Dangiri at 6 am via Makum Junction, Bara Hapjan, Hansara, Doomdooma town , Rupai and Talap stations. Train No. 07905 (Dangiri-Tinsukia DEMU Special) will start its journey from the Dangiri railway station at 6:30 am on April 12. The special train will also serve for six days a week (except Sunday) from Dangiri railway station and will run via these stations in a reverse direction to reach its destination Tinsukia railway station at 8:00 am same day.
