GUWAHATI, Jan 16: BJP's Assam Pradesh Kishan Morcha has said that it welcomes the stay of the three farmers' Acts by the Supreme Court of India, but not happy with it.
In a statement issued to the media on Saturday, Morcha's media cell state convener Hariprasad Saikia said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the development of agriculture and farmers' welfare. He brought the three Acts taking that in mind. We appeal to the agitating farmers to put on hold their agitation and give their suggestions to the committee formed by the Supreme Court of India."
