GUWAHATI: The AREIDA (Assam Real Estate and Infrastructure Developers' Association) has stated that the State Budget does not provide anything specific to real estate like the previous budgets where schemes like Apunar Apun Ghar, Apun Ghar, one-time amnesty scheme for deviations etc were announced. However, AREIDA president PK Sharma has welcomed the provisions for direct payment of forest royalty to the treasury, as well as a commitment to administrative reforms in government functioning including the Assam Citizen Centric Service Delivery Project (ACCSDP) to track and deliver various government services to the citizens.
He also lauded the government for including various provisions like freeing Guwahati from floods, augmenting the water supply schemes at Kamakhya, Panbazar and Satpukhuri, developing of Dighalipukhuri, Saraighatpukhri, Yatri Nivas at Amingaon, ropeway at Kamakhya, and controlling encroachment in the hills of Guwahati.
