OBITUARY: Madhuri Sarmah

Madhuri Sarmah, a former councilor of GMC Ward No. 26 passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in Guwahati. He was a councilor from 2003 to 2008, besides being a popular social worker and a senior of the BJP.

Her body was taken to State BJP office where the vice president of the State BJP, Dr Pradeep Thakuria expressed sadness at her demise. A one-minute silence was observed at the party office. The last rites of her mortal remains were done at Navagraha crematorium in the city.
