One arrested; pistol seized in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: One person was arrested on Tuesday and the illegal arms in his possession was seized.

According to police sources, there was a spat between neighbours Uttam Paswan (32) and Abhay Tiwari (26) on Monday evening at Natun Bazar under Basistha PS. After the spat, Uttam Paswan made a verbal complaint at the police station. Later, Abhay Tiwari allegedly went to Uttam’s house and threatened Uttam’s wife by showing his pistol.

On Tuesday, the accused Abhay Tiwari alias Adit Kumar was apprehended from Lokhora. A country-made pistol and six live ammunition were seized from his possession.
