One Lakh PMAY Houses To Start From Sept 16: Dass

GUWAHATI: Panchayat and Rural Development (P&RD) Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass formally released funds for one lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) in Guwahati today. Dass said, "The Centre sanctioned funds for 13 lakh of the 16 lakh PMAY houses allotted for the state. The construction of 6.50 lakh houses is over. In May this year, we gave the funds for 5 lakh houses along with their allotment letters. The construction of one lakh PMAY houses will begin on September 16 this year. On the same day, the government will extend ex gratia of Rs 25,000 each to 12,000 beneficiaries under the Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme."
