One more held in supari smuggling case in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Crime Branch of Guwahati Police on Wednesday arrested one Vikash Tiwari from Fancy Bazar here in connection with the smuggling of Myanmarese supari.

According to police sources, Tiwari used to carry out monetary transactions via hawala for the illegal supari syndicate.

It may be recalled that the Crime Branch has already arrested two members of this illegal syndicate, kingpin Bidyut Sinha and his lieutenant Prasanta Boro alias Rinku alias Victor.
