Over 90% turnout in Guwahati Press Club elections

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Press Club (GPC) organized the elections for its executive body on June 3. Despite the very high temperatures, the elections saw a very good turnout. A total of 25 contestants participated as candidates in the election for 10 positions in the Guwahati Press Club.

A total of 906 members out of the total of 998 registered members of the club cast their ballots on Saturday. The club also thanked the senior journalists who acted as observers as well as the junior journalists who acted as volunteers for the election process.
