GUWAHATI: Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Khanapara celebrated Parakram Diwas on Monday with great enthusiasm and fervour.
A special morning assembly highlighting the life and achievements of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was conducted to mark the occasion. At the outset, floral tributes were paid to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Thereafter, students from both primary and secondary sections presented various items which included patriotic songs, group songs, group dances, speeches by teachers and students, poem recitation, fancy dress and role play. Students also participated in a slogan writing competition based on the theme 'Thoughts and Ideals of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose'.
An on-the-Spot painting competition was also organized, which was chosen as one the Nodal Schools amongst 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas of India. The theme was on the '25 Mantras' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Exam Warriors'. The competitors included 100 participants from two Kendriya Vidyalayas and14 other renowned CBSE schools of Guwahati. A total of 100 students participated in the competition. The painting competition was a part of the 'Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023'programme, in which the Prime Minister interacts with students, teachers and parents from across the country, and shares valuable tips on how to take the board and entrance examinations in a relaxed and stress-free manner.
Dr Sanjay Kumar, principal of KV Khanapara welcomed the Chief Guest Varun Mitra , Deputy Commissioner of KVS Guwahati and Silchar region, the Guest of Honour Venkteswar Prasad B, Assistant Commissioner , mediapersons and the participants .
Varun Mitra inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp, stated a press release.
