PR conclave 'JANASAMPARK' organized in Gauhati University

GUWAHATI: The Department of Communication and Journalism, Gauhati University, organized a PR Conclave JANASAMPARK, PR: Back to the Future, on Saturday.

Dr. Anupa Lahkar Goswami, an esteemed faculty of the department welcomed the panelists and spoke about the purpose of the event. Dr. Ankuran Dutta, HoD of the department, accentuated the theme by referring to it as a public relations initiative organized by the department in its history of 54 years of existence which has prospered as the mother media of the NE region of India. Apart from this, he has also confirmed that three clubs namely the Public Relation Club, Advertising Club, and Film Club were initiated in the ongoing year by the department, a press release said. About 217 students and scholars from different universities and colleges from the Northeast and India took part in the event. It was also streamed live on the departmental Facebook page.

Dr. Jayanta Kumar Sarma, Public Relations Officer, Northeast Frontier Railway, moderator of the event began with the thematic explanation of the conclave titled "Back to the Future" which is named after a Hollywood film made in 1985.
