GUWAHATI: The Director of Higher Education, Assam, asked six private universities and all private colleges of the state to disclose their sources of revenues and expenditure for fiscals 2019-20 and 2020-21 by June 3, 2022.

The Directorate of Higher Education wanted to know the number of teaching and non-teaching staff, the number of streams, collection of fees, government funding (if any), private donations, income from other sources, and miscellaneous from the private educational institutions. The six private universities are Assam Don Bosco University, Assam Down Town University, Royal Global University, Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidhyalaya, Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardev Visvavidhyalaya and Kaziranga University.

According to the Directorate of Higher Education, this move is as per the meeting held on May 5 with the Additional Chief Secretary on the preparations for SDP (State Domestic Products) for the financial years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
