Process for transfer of teachers eased by Department of School Education

GUWAHATI: The Department of School Education has modified the Transfer Rules 2022 for school teachers with a view to easing the procedure. An order issued recently by the department stated that it has been decided to remove difficulties in implementation and applying for mutual transfer of teachers in the public interest.

Consequently, from now on any teacher applied for mutual transfer but could not avail mutual transfer, or his/her transfer did not come into effect for various reasons such as break of the pair, can now apply or re-apply for the transfer.

Similarly, any teacher who could not avail the benefit of single transfer despite applying, due to systemic or administrative fault, can now re-apply for transfer without any precondition.
