Publication Board, Assam to host 3 new book fairs

GUWAHATI: The Publication Board, Assam (PBA) will organize four book fairs in different parts of the State from this year. Talking to The Sentinel, APB secretary Pramod Kalita said that a decision in this regard was taken recently by the Education Department.

It is pertinent to mention that for the past several years, the APB has been organizing one book year annually - The Guwahati Book Fair at the Chandmari playground.

Kalita said that the three additional book fairs will be organized at Dhemaji, Jorhat and Bongaigaon in association with the North-East Book Sellers' Association. The book fair at Dhemaji will start from November 4, the one at Jorhat will start from December 2, the traditional one at Guwahati will start from December 29. The date for the book fair at Bongaigaon has not been finalized as yet, Kalita added.
