GUWAHATI: As per the direction of the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Swachhata Pakhwada is being observed every year. Punjab National Bank (PNB) being the second largest public sector bank of the country, observes Swachhata Pakhwada following all the guidelines of the Government of India to promote hygiene and good working environment.
This year also the bank observed Swachhata Pakhwada from January 16, 2022 to January 31, 2022. In this period, many awareness camps were organized by the bank along with observing cleanliness drives throughout the country to motivate the public and for nurturing the habit of cleanliness among people. Punjab National Bank Zonal Office Guwahati recently observed a cleanliness drive at the public garden situated under the Six Mile bridge in Guwahati. The officials from different branches and offices of Punjab National Bank in Guwahati, under the active leadership of Deputy Zonal Manager of Guwahati Zonal Office, Rajendra Singh participated in the cleanliness drive. Besides the cleaning of the public garden, new plants were also planted by the participants for beautification of the garden, stated a press release.
