GUWAHATI: The organization named Fight Against Injustice of APSC has raised questions regarding the role of the five-member committee set up by the State Government to review and implement the report submitted by the Justice (Retd) Biplab Kumar Sharma inquiry committee in connection with the jobs-for-cash scam.

The organization's administrator, Manas Pratim Baruah, said on Monday that even though the inquiry committee had clearly mentioned the names of the officers who secured jobs through illegal means, these officers are being allowed to remain in service even now. Many other officers had, however, been jailed for the same offence, Baruah pointed out.

He said that although over 100 days have elapsed since the inquiry committee submitted its report, they have waited patiently due to faith in the Government. However, they will be forced to start a legal battle if no action is forthcoming soon, he added.
