Railway Protection Force seized 61 bags of smuggled betel nut in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Acting on a tip-off, the crime branch of RPF (Railway Protection Force) recovered 61 bags of smuggled betel nuts from the LMG-APDJ Intercity-Express bearing train no 15770 DN at the Guwahati Railway Station on Sunday. The betel nuts are suspected to be of foreign origin and its estimated value is yet to be ascertained. While 26 bags of the betel nuts were recovered from the FC, other 35 bags were recovered from the RC. The recovered nuts were brought to the RPF Post Guwahati and custom superintendent was called upon for further necessary action.
