GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police re-arrested Model and 2016 Miss India finalist, Rajkanya Baruah on Wednesday afternoon after a medical board of GMCH (Gauhati Medical College and Hospital) declared the accused to be "completely fine".
Rajkanya Baruah has been arrested after the GMCH panel submitted its report to the Dispur ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) that she has no health complications and is totally fine.
Earlier, GMCH Superintendent Dr Abhijit Sharma informed the media that the GMCH team also had an extensive discussion with Rajkanya as well as the doctors of GNRC.
Speaking to reporters, Commissioner of Police Harmeet Singh said, "When we issued summons to Rajkanya Baruah on Monday asking her to report on Tuesday, her mother sought 14 days time as Rajkanya Baruah was in the semi-ICU (Intensive Care Unit) of GNRC. So the Dispur Police asked the Hospital authorities to constitute a panel for examining her health conditions. The panel submitted its report to us on Wednesday."
