Results of Gauhati University PGSU election announced

GUWAHATI: Hemen Kalita and Biki Sarmah have been elected as the president and general secretary of the Post-Graduate Students' Union (PGSU) 2021-22 of the Gauhati University. The results of the poll which were held on November 30 were announced on Wednesday. In all 15 candidates were elected to different offices of the PGSU. Altogether four candidates backed by the All Assam Students' Union (AASU), four NSUI backed candidates, three candidates backed by Assam Chatra Parishad and two candidates each backed by the ABVP and Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti made it to the union body.

The other winners were Nabadeep Borgohain (vice president), Rashmi Kalita (AGS), Gnyana Pratim Dev Sarma (Literary secretary), Pratyashi Kalita (Music), Disha Sarma (Cultural), Bharati Devi (Debate and symposia), Khwrwmdao Basumatary (Major games), Bikram Hazarika (Minor games), Ganesh Baro (Sports), Abid Arman Tapadar (Boys' common room), Mun Mallick (Girls' common room), Pallab Hazarika (Gymnasium) and Bishnu Medhi (Social service).
