Retd Irrigation Department Officer files defamation suit against RTI Activist Dulal Bora

GUWAHATI: Balindra Kumar Das, a retired officer in the Irrigation Department under the KAAC (Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council), filed a defamation case against Dulal Bora in the Court of Civil Judge, Guwahati for, what Das said, alleging in a press conference on July 15, 2019 that he (Das) diverted the funds of an Irrigation Scheme. Das claimed Rs 1 crore from Bora as compensation.
