Robbery in Guwahati; cash, mobile phone looted

GUWAHATI: An engineer working for Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway, Kishore Kalita, was waylaid and robbed by miscreants at the Cabin Chowk area in Noonmati on Tuesday night. Kalita, a resident of Bodo Chowk in the Matghoria area, sustained injuries during the incident and has been admitted to a private hospital here.

The robbers took away around Rs 7,000 in cash along with Kalita's mobile phone.

According to police sources, drug addicts are suspected to be responsible for the incident.
