Rs 4,39,000 lakh fine realized during Durga puja; Guwahati Traffic Police

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Traffic Police (GTP) has collected a total of Rs 4,39,000 as fine during the Durga Puja from October 23 to 26. In this regard, as many as 346 fine cases were detected.

During the days, the GTP seized 153 vehicles and submitted 2,104 non FIRs to the court.

On October 23, the GTP realized Rs 1,16,000 as fine followed by Rs 1,24,000 on October 24, Rs 1,43,000 on October 25, and Rs 56,000 on October 26. While 98 fine cases were detected on October 23, as many as 96 were detected on October 24, 101 cases on October 25 and 51 cases on October 26. No cases of modified silencers on vehicles were detected during the four days, stated the GTP report.
