NEW DELHI/GUWAHATI: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, addressed the Rozgar Mela and distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits via video conferencing. The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal, joined the Prime Minister at the Rozgar Mela held at the Assam Water Centre in Guwahati and handed over appointment letters to the successful candidates at the event held in Guwahati on Thursday.

Addressing the appointees, the Prime Minister said that the government’s campaign to provide employment opportunities for the youth is continuously moving forward and noted the occasion of today, when appointment letters for government jobs have been handed out to more than 50,000 youth across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal, said, “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, the government is committed to providing avenues to the youth of the country to become active members of nation-building. With this Rozgar Mela, lakhs of qualified youths from the country have joined this effort to make India an Atmanirbhar Bharat, a vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I am happy to witness that the candidates who are receiving their appointment letters here are from different states like Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, UP, Delhi, Punjab, and other states. By 2030, we are working towards becoming the world’s top three economies. To achieve this, we must follow the path set forth by PM Narendra Modi towards nation-building.

The successful candidates will get inducted into the departments of Post, Assam Rifles, Ministry of Home Affairs, Income Tax, Nursing, Banks, and others. During an interactive session with the successful candidates, the Union Minister handed over the dais to the candidates and shared their vision to encourage them to contribute to the cause of nation-building. The candidates were from different states like Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, UP, Delhi, Meghalaya, Tripura, Punjab, and others. (PIB)
