CM interacts with students at ALA
GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has urged students to be optimistic and make best use of their time to be successful in life. He also advised them to abstain from drugs use and misuse of social media.
The Chief Minister said this while interacting with students of Raha College and Dr. BKB College of Nagaon district at the central hall of Assam Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
Taking part in a lively interaction with students, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of being punctual and disciplined as well as building good moral character. He said that there is stiff competition in today’s world and students to be successful must work hard. He urged them to devote a daily minimum of ten hours in study and make limited use of social media platforms.
Underlining the need for remaining fit and healthy, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Fit India Movement with the objective of making a healthy nation. He asked the students to do regular physical exercise and maintaining a positive state of mind.
Moreover, expressing concern over the rising number of drug users, the Chief Minister urged students to keep themselves completely away from this social menace. He also advised the students to be focused and set clear goals in life and work hard to attain them. He further said that while attaining success, it is equally important to be polite and well-mannered with good character to command respect from society.
During the interaction, students of both the educational instructions performed various cultural activities.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, MLAs Rupak Sarma, Ashok Sarma and Gurujyoti Das and Chief Minister’s Media Adviser Hrishikesh Goswami were also present at the interaction programme, a press release said.
