Guwahati: The State Bank of India (SBI) on Thursday opened its new branch at Bhetapara in Guwahati.
The inauguration was done by Chief General Manager (CGM), of the North-East region, R.S. Ramesh in presence of General Manager Smt Suranjana Dutta, Deputy General Manager Shri Madan L S.
The Bhetapara branch is the 48th branch of SBI which will serve around two lakhs people of the area in Bhetapara. And all the facilities including the lockers, digital products, savings bank facilities, loan facilities will be available for the customers in the branch and for the senior citizens special schemes are also available.
Speaking at the inauguration program, Ramesh said, "We have been continuously evaluating opportunities for opening of the branches to serve the customers need because more and more population will be growing and it is our duty to serve the esteemed citizens of the respective areas. Guwahati city has around 11.2 lakhs population, and this branch will be happy to serve the customers around the area."
He further said all the facilities which are available in Mumbai would be available in the Bhetapara branch as well.
Life insurance schemes of Government of India like - PM Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, along with Recurring Deposit schemes, Home Loan, Car Loan would be available.
He requested continued support for their team members and said that the team would do their best to ensure that this branch becomes a model branch in the entire Guwahati city. "We will be very happy to assist the customers in every possible way, and would like to assure that first-class service will be provided to the customers," he added.
The CGM urged everyone to refer SBI to more and more customers. He said that if in a family there are five members, at least three accounts should be with SBI.
Extending New Year greetings to everyone he also urged all the customers to avail of the services from the Bhetapara branch and help SBI grow.
SBI had opened its branch at Sarupathar a month ago.
