GUWAHATI: The second phase of Gunotsav will be conducted from January 9 to 12 in 13 districts, namely Baksa, Biswanath, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (M), Sonitpur, Tinsukia, and Tamulpur. The self-evaluation will be conducted on January 9, and the external evaluation will be conducted on January 10, 11, and 12.
A total of 14,769 government/provincialized schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, Tea Garden Model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, Tea Garden Management schools, and 13,32,811 students from classes I to IX will be covered in the second phase of Gunotsav. A total of 6,122 external evaluators will be participating in the second phase of the evaluation.
It may be mentioned that the first phase of Gunotsav which started on January 3 concluded on January 6. The first phase covered 12 districts. A total of 15,04,939 students from classes I to IX from 16,792 schools (government/provincialized schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, Tea Garden Model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, and Tea Garden Management schools) were evaluated in the exercise.
