Show-cause notice to Algapur MLA Nijam Uddin Choudhury

GUWAHATI: A video went viral on social media where Algapur MLA Nijam Uddin Choudhury of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) mocked Pijush Hazarika in a public statement where he said that Minister Pijush Hazarika is their man and they are also his man. In regards to this, AIDUF has given a show-cause notice to Nijam Uddin Choudhury.

AIUDF general secretary (administrative), MLA Hafiz Bashir Ahmed, issued the show cause notice. The show cause notice said, "It has come to our notice that you made a public statement appreciating Minister Piyush Hazarika as our man and also as we are his man, which has become viral in the social media on May 3, 2023. Such a statement goes against the principle and status of our party, which has maligned party images, created serious controversies in the political atmosphere, led to gross misconduct, and is liable to take disciplinary action." As such, in the show-cause notice, it mentions why disciplinary action will not be taken against him and wants the answer in seven days.
