GUWAHATI: Shree Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Sabha, Guwahati along with its sister organizations and with the help and under the guidance of the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Assam, has been organizing the COVID-19 vaccination drive at Terapanth Dharmsthal since May 10.
Under this drive, more than 12,000 doses had been vaccinated to the people of all castes, communities and religions. This drive included the provision of the Covisheild vaccine (both 1st and 2nd dose) to 18+ and 45+ age groups and the Covaxin vaccine (2nd dose only) to both 18+ and 45+ age groups. People were provided vaccines through online slot bookings and spot registrations as well.
The vaccination drive had been running following all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines issued by the Central Government, State Government and other governmental authorities. Convener of the vaccination drive at Terapanth Dharamsthal Ritesh Khater said that it has been a successful drive and the reason behind its success was proper planning, guidance and direction by the president Jhankar Dudhoria, vice president (S) Shantilal Kundalia, vice president Dilip Dugar, secretary, Nirmal Shyamsukha and other executive members of Shree Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Sabha, Guwahati. The vaccination camp has been given a temporary break with the last vaccine given on June 20 and the members are eagerly looking forward to restarting the camp on August 10 or as desired by the State government.
