Shuffle of senior police officers of Assam

GUWAHATI: In an official notification dated July 7, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has sought IPS officer and Superintendent of Police for the Charaideo district of the state, Yubraj. He will be posted as the Senior Superintendent of Police in the National Human Rights Commission.

In another notification published by the Home (A) Department, Hiranya Kumar Barman has been posted as a replacement for Yubraj as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of the Charaideo district. He was posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) at the Guwahati Police Commissionerate. Also, Hiranya Kumar Barman will be replaced by Jayanta Sarathi Borah as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) for the Guwahati Police Commissionerate. He was previously posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police at Assam Police Headquarters in Ulubari.
