Special Task Force recovers fake gold, FICN in Jorabat, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF) recovered fake gold in the shape of a boat and 150 Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) on Wednesday and apprehended three accused.

According to sources, regarding the dealing and delivery of fake gold, the STF conducted a raid at 8th Mile, Jorabat, under the jurisdiction of Basistha Police Station. The raid led to the seizure of one boat-shaped fake gold weighing 1.627 kg, one Maruti Alto vehicle bearing registration AS 01 DZ 0208, 150 FICN with a face value of Rs 75,000 with Rs 500 denomination, and two mobile phones.

In this connection, three people have been apprehended: Monsur Ali (23) from Lakhimpur district, Rajib Ali (24) and Jahidul Islam (21) both from Barpeta district.
